Meeting of the Minds
We all know that, like any other job, being a remote ESL teacher has its advantages and disadvantages. While working in our lounge wear, never be stressed with daily commutes, and more family time sound great, there are also challenges that arise at one point or another. One of these challenges is not having some sort of personal connection to colleagues.
This is one of the reasons why I join and enjoy having the weekly meetings with my PSM colleagues. I have the opportunity to meet with like-minded people and talk about both personal and professional life. It is a source of encouragement at times when I feel low, a chance to collaborate and exchange ideas to be better educators, and meet my friends from across the miles… kilometers rather.
