One festival that I celebrate is Oktoberfest! This festival is actually from another country (Germany to be exact), but it has been replicated in other countries, including the Philippines! This is quite unlike other local festivals though.
Well, how is it celebrated? If you thought by drinking copious amounts of beer, then you're right! If you're a fan of SMB or more known as San Miguel Beer to others, then you'll definitely enjoy this festival!
I like this festival not because of the beer though. I enjoy it because of the ambiance you can bask in with friends while listening to great music. I prefer celebrating it near the beach and not so much in a jam-packed club or bar, so the last Oktoberfest I attended was in San Juan, La Union, the Surfing Capital of the Northern Philippines! The Oktoberfest is celebrated in conjunction with the Surfing Break, so you can also get your surf on while you're there.
Just don't drink and surf!
