Christmas Pageant
When I was young, I was always picked to play an angel in our church’s Christmas pageants. More often than not, we, the children participating in the program, will sing “Away in a Manger”. Maybe this is the reason it became one of my favorite Christmas songs.
It reminds is how lowly and unassuming, the Savior came into this world; symbolizing how He lived as a servant and not as a king. It also gives us a glimpse on how much God loves us, regardless of our status in life, background, and imperfections.
