Word Wars
“A jack of all trades is a master of none.” This quote by William Shakespeare is almost always said to pass negative judgement on any person skillful in a variety of work. But when we add the rest of the quote, it conveys the awe inspiring talent a person can offer. It boasts of one’s ability to recognize his strengths and build on his weaknesses. It actually tells the story of a person who has the willingness to learn and assimilate his new found knowledge in his everyday career.
“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one.” - William Shakespeare
Words have power. It can be used to build someone up or tear someone apart. With words, we can pass judgement on someone before even trying to really understand what was meant. A sad reality, but true. Be mindful of your words, understand what is said and not said, and listen to every story with neutrality.
