Vocabulary/ Expressions:

Risk-taker - gambler; a person who tries new things, the results of which are largely unknown

Milksop - fraidy-cat; a person who is indecisive and lacks courage

Turn Sour - become less pleasant or attractive; turn out badly

Get Back on the Horse - to return to or resume an activity that one has previously failed at, had difficulty with, or which has previously caused one harm

 

Questions:

  1. What is your definition of RISK?
  2. Do you consider yourself a risk-taker or a milksop?  Why or why not?
  3. What kind of risks have you come across in your life and at work?
  4. In your opinion, what are the advantages and disadvantages of taking risks?
