Amygdala

Vocabulary:

Amygdala - region of the brain primarily associated with emotional processes

Trauma - deeply distressing or disturbing experience

Unpack - analyze (something) into its component elements

Therapy - treatment intended to relieve or heal a disorder

Self-harm - deliberate injury to oneself, typically as a manifestation of a mental condition.

Suicide - death caused by injuring oneself with the intent to die
