rush hour – the busy part of the day when towns and cities are crowded, either in the morning when people are travelling to work, or in the evening when people are travelling home

carpool – a group of cars, owned by a company or other organization, that can be used by any of its employees

carpool lane – part of a road that is for carpools only to use

mechanic – someone whose job is repairing the engines of vehicles and other machines

salesperson – a person whose job is selling things in a shop or directly to customers

superintendent – a person who is in charge of work done in a particular department, office, etc., or who is responsible for keeping a building or place in good condition
