A. Vocabulary

ostrich – a very large bird from Africa that cannot fly

llama – a large South American animal with a long neck and long hair, often kept for its meat, milk, or fur and to carry heavy loads

weave – to make cloth by repeatedly crossing a single thread through two sets of long threads on a loom

tie – to fasten together two ends of a piece of string or other long, thin material, or to (cause to) hold together with a long, thin piece of string, material, etc.

feather – one of the many soft, light things that cover a bird's body, consisting of a long, thin, central part with material like hairs along each side

dream catcher – a decorative object consisting of a ring with a net of string across it and feathers, etc. hanging from it, originally made by Native Americans, and thought to bring its owner good dreams
